A Kishoreganj court granted a three-day remand to Abu Bakar Siddik, member of a lower subordinate staff (MLSS) at the bank, in a case filed over the burglary of Tk16.40 crore from a branch of Sonali Bank in the district.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Hamidul Islam of Judicial Court 1 of Kishoreganj granted the remand on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier, police presented Siddik to the court and prayed for a seven-day remand for the accused.
He was arrested on January 26.
The architect of the elaborate Kishoreganj bank burglary and his aide were arrested with the stolen money in the capital's Shyampur Balurmath on January 28.
Police identified Habibur Rahman alias Sohel as Yusuf Munshi and Idris Mia as Idris Munshi. They are siblings.
