A case has been filed against nine leaders of the Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (Rucsu) and Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir, including Rucsu General Secretary Salahuddin Ammar and Assistant General Secretary SM Salman Sabbir, over the alleged assault of a student at the university's central library.
The case also names 17 to 18 unidentified individuals as accused.
The case was filed on Thursday before the Cognizance Court in Rajshahi by MS Azad Uz Zaman, father of Mahmudul Hasan, the student who was allegedly assaulted in three separate incidents at the library.
