The Managing Director of real estate company “Pink City”, Mahmuda Khadiza Akhter, was granted bail hours after she was picked up from her Lake Circus Road residence in the city on Tuesday night for her alleged involvement with cheque forgery cases.
Kolabagan police station SI Devraj Chakraborti said: “14 cases of cheating and misappropriation of money was filed against her. She was granted bail in six cases earlier. But, police arrested her on Thursday night as eight separate arrest warrants were issued against her.”
Police picked her up and produced before the courts on Wednesday morning. Later, she was granted bail, he added.
