BGB recovers 3.48kg cocaine from bus in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Saturday recovered 3.48kg of contraband cocaine from a bus in Cox’s Bazar.

According to a media release signed by  BGB-34 Commander (Cox’s Bazar) Lt Col Mohammad Saiful Islam Chowdhury said a team of the border force conducted a drive in the Bangla Bazar area under Sadar upazila around 8:10am tipped off that a consignment of cocaine would be taken to Cox’s Bazar from Kushtia by a bus.

As the bus reached there, the BGB personnel searched for the drug in the vehicle and found it in a bag, it reads.

No one was arrested in this connection, the release added.
