Fakhrul key accused in case over death of constable

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has been made the key accused in a case filed over the death of Constable Amirul Islam Parvez in a clash between party men and law enforcement in the Fakirapul area of Dhaka on Saturday.

Paltan model police station Sub-Inspector Masuk Miah filed the case on Sunday accusing 164 individuals, including BNP leaders such as standing committee members Mirza Abaas and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Amirul Islam Parvez was attached to the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
