Woman strangled to death in Gazipur

Police on Saturday morning recovered the body of a woman who was strangled to death from Bhora Madhyapara, Gazipur. The deceased Jasemin Aktar, 55, was wife of late Ahmed Hossain of the area. Sub-Inspector Sujayet Hossain told Dhaka Tribune that Jasemin lived alone as her daughters were married. on Thursday her daughters had called but she did not answer, prompting them to inform the neighbors that they couldn't reach their mother over phone. Locals discovered Jasemin's body lying on the floor of her room through a window. Her throat was tied with a scarf. Being informed police arrived at the scene and recovered the body. Her body was sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for an autopsy. Police suspected the murderers left her body in the locked room after strangling her to death. They also suspected that she might have been killed over kind of enmity.
