The assistant personal secretary of Awami League lawmaker Elias Uddin Mollah died Tuesday night, nearly four hours after he was pushed out of a microbus at Dainik Bangla intersection in the capital.
Md Amir Hossain Kanchan, 42, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 10:30pm. A pedestrian, Shariful Islam, brought Kanchan to Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital. Later he was referred to DMCH.
Sharif said he saw Kanchan was pushed out of a speeding white microbus at 6:30pm and heard him screaming for help.
The victim hails from Char Bishnupur in Faridpur. His wife, Nasrin Akhter, and brother, Md Hannan, said they did not know why Kanchan went to Dainik Bangla or who else may have been inside the car. She said Kanchan left their Mirpur house in the morning.
