A young man, said to be an activist of an outlawed outfit, was shot dead by miscreants at Jagirbagli village in Pangsha upazila early Tuesday, reports UNB.
The deceased identified as Dalim Sheikh, 32, son of Tokkel Sheikh of the village, is also a grocer.
The victim’s father said a gang of unidentified miscreants numbering 5/7 entered the room of Dalim at about 1am, took him out of the room and opened two rounds of bullet at him, leaving him dead on the spot.
Officer-in-charge of Pangsha Police Station Abdul Khalek said Dalim was a member of an outlawed party, adding that the body was sent to Rajbari sadar hospital morgue for autopsy.
The victim’s family is taking preparation for filing a case in this connection, added the OC.
