Actor Raima Islam Shimu, who went missing a few days ago, was found dead in Keraniganj, on the outskirts of the capital.
After being informed by locals, a team of Keraniganj Model Police Station recovered the body, which was dumped near Hazratpur Bridge in a sack, around 11:30pm on Monday, officer-in-charge Abu Salam Mia told Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier, a general diary was filed at Kalabagan Police Station in the capital after the actress went missing, said police.
The body bore several injury marks, and police suspect she was killed by criminals on Sunday, reports UNB.
The body was sent to Mitford Hospital's morgue for an autopsy.
