Police constable held with yaba

A team of law-enforcers arrested a constable of police with yaba tablets at Banaripara upazila in Barisal on Saturday. The arrested is Mehedi Hasan, constable cum computer operator of Airport police station and son of Ayub Ali Akond of Mushuria village. Sazzad Hossain, officer-in-charge of Banaripara police station, said a team of Narcotics Control Department arrested constable Mehedi with 29 yaba tablets near a grocery shop in the area. Mehedi had been operating yaba business for long time in the area. On a tip-off, the team of law enforcers conducted a drive in the area and arrested Mehedi with the tablets. Police filed a case in this connection, said the OC.
