Rape: Arrested teacher of Chittagong madrasa violated one boy every night

A madrasa teacher has been arrested in a case filed over the rape of a male student of the institution in Chittagong's Rangunia upazila.

The teacher identified as Md Nasir Uddin, 38, a resident of Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar, was arrested early Tuesday.

The teacher was accused of sexually assaulting three other students of the same institution.

A guardian lodged a rape case against the teacher with Rangunia police station on Monday evening.

The four students were sent to the hospital for medical tests on Tuesday.

Recently, a number of students disclosed the matter to their parents that the teacher allegedly raped one student every night.

The arrested teacher was sent to jail after he had been produced before the court on Tuesday.

According to the police, Nasir joined the Qawmi Madrasa at Swanirbhar Rangunia Union under Rangunia upazila two years ago.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (Rangunia Circle) Md Anwar Hossain said Nasir had planned to escape. "But we managed to catch him quickly.”
