Chittagong unit Chhatra League President Imran Ahmed Emu and General Secretary Nurul Azim Rony, have been accused in a case with over a clash with police at Kazir Dewri area.
A total of 59 leaders and activists of Chattra League and over 200 unnamed people were accused in the case filed with Chittagong Kotwali police station Tuesday night.
Assistant Commissioner (Kotwali circle) Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune Wednesday morning.
Kotwali police station Officer-in-Charge Jashim Uddin said: “Imran and Nurul have been named in the case filed for attacking police.”
A total of four policemen and 15 activists of Chhatra League, the student wing of ruling Awami League, were injured in the clash on Tuesday.
Nine vehicles and three roadside shops were vandalised during the clash.
