A 14-year-old Bangladeshi girl was allegedly gang raped in Ahmedabad and Mangrol, Junagadh of Gujarat, reports the Times of India.
On March 16, the minor was found crying at a bus terminal in Mangrol. Despite the language barrier, Mangrol police were able to determine that she was from Bangladesh.
She was then taken to a women's shelter in Junagadh, where she was able to describe her ordeal with the help of an interpreter.
The girl alleged that she had been gang-raped by seven persons in Ahmedabad and 14 in Mangrol over the span of a week.
In her statement she said she had been sold by one of her relatives to an agent named Sai in Bangaon village of West Bengal and brought to Mangrol via Ahmedabad.
Mangrol police launched an investigation into the complaint on March 18.
