A man was arrested with 478 yaba pills during a raid by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Natore on Friday.
Natore RAB Company Commander Zayed Shahriyar confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune on Friday evening.
The detainee, Azadul Islam, 28, is a resident of Kadimchilan area in the district’s Lalpur upazila.
The RAB official said, following a tip off, a team of RAB from its Natore camp conducted a raid in Kadimchilan area on Friday afternoon, where they detained Azad around 4:30pm.
During a body search, they found 478 yaba pills on him.
At the time, Azad confessed that he was there to sell the yaba pills, Zayed added.
The RAB officials also confiscated a mobile phone with two SIM cards and Tk3,175 in cash from Azad.
