Shot at home, fisheries minister’s son-in-law now stable

Fisheries and Livestock Minister Narayon Chandra Chanda’s son-in-law, Probhash Kumar Dutta, who was shot and injured at his Khulna home, is now out of danger, his family says.

Unidentified assailants shot and injured Probhash, who is also the deputy general manager of Bangladesh Bank’s Khulna Office, at his home in Bakshipara area on Friday night.

He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where he underwent surgery for gunshot wounds to his abdomen.
