Man gets life-term for raping daughter-in-law

Convict Jamal Uddin, 45, from Narayanpur of Lalpur was also fined Tk50,000. The District and Sessions Judge’s Court of Rezaul Karim ordered the authorities concerned to realise the fines and hand it over to the victim. According to the case, Jamal raped the woman holding a sharp weapon to her throat in her house on May 21, 2007. She later filed the case on May 26 with Lalpur police.
