AL ward president shot dead in Noakhali

An Awami League leader has been shot dead at Purbo Maijchara village under Noakhali sadar upazila. The deceased is Abul Hashem, Awami League president of Undarchar Union's Ward 4 unit. Sudharam model police OC Anwar Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune: “Some identified assailants shot Abul Hashem in front of his house around midnight on Sunday." Police were conducting drives to arrest the criminals, he added.
