$29,900 seized in Benapole

A BGB team raided Chara Bot-tola area of Putkhali around 11am on a tip-off that some hundi businessmen were going to the border to smuggle the money. The smugglers fled the scene sensing their presence, and left a bicycle and a packet containing the US dollars. Putkhali camp Commander Subedar Krishna confirmed the seizure to the Dhaka Tribune and said that they had deposited the money to Benapole’s treasury section.
