Yaba worth Tk12.3 crore seized in Cox's Bazar

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized 810,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets worth Tk12.3 crore from Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf upazila. Teknaf’s BGB Battalion 2 Commander Major Abu Rasel Siddique said: "Acting on a tip-off, we conducted a drive near Naf River and seized the yaba tablets around 4am Thursday.” “The smugglers were trying to enter Bangladesh territory from Myanmar through the river. They fled leaving behind the yaba tablets sensing BGB presence,” Major Abu added.
