Waliur Reja, claiming to be a medicine and child specialist, having only a Higher Secondary degree to his name, has been sentenced to two years by the Executive Magistrate of a RAB mobile court, Sarowar Alam.
On Sunday night he was taken into custody by the mobile court which apprehended him based on an anonymous tip.
After being questioned, he confessed to posing as a specialist.
He was charged at East Hajipara area's Jessore Medical Corner in Rampura.

Collected from Bangla TribuneSarowar said: “When we asked for evidence for the authenticity of his degree, he could not provide any. He only has a Higher Secondary degree and has established himself as a medicine and child specialist based on that.”
“He has been falsely claiming to have FCPS and MD degrees after passing Higher Secondary Certificate examinations,” he added.
