Four muggers held in Chittagong

The Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested four muggers during a special drive in Naval Crossing area on Wednesday. Police also seized Tk2 lakh, firearms and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw used for mugging from the four. The arrestees were identified as Maqsudur Rahman Tipu, 30, Wahidul Islam, 28, Joynal, 28, and Iqbal Hossain, 28. During priliminary interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in mugging people at different points of the port city. Three separate cases were lodged at Kotwali police station against them later.
