4.64kg gold seized at Dhaka airport

The preventive team of Dhaka Customs House has seized 4.64kg gold from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The gold was seized from a flight of US Bangla Airlines after it arrived at the airport from Muscat around 7am on Wednesday. Confirming the matter, Customs House Assistant Commissioner M Saidul Islam said: “The 40 gold bars were recovered from inside a seat of the aircraft. “The estimated price of the gold is Tk2.32 crore.”
