A Sylhet court yesterday recorded witnesses’ testimonies in the former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria murder case.
Makbul Ahsan, judge of Sylhet Division Speedy Trial Tribunal, recorded the deposition of Ali Afsar, Jasimuddin and Sayed Suhel Ehsan in presence of suspended Sylhet City Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury, a BNP leader and an accused in the murder case.
The tribunal’s Special Public Prosecutor advocate Kishor Kumar Kar said 12 accused, including Sylhet City Corporation’s dismissed mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury and Harkat-ul-Jihad leader Mufti Hannan, out of the 32 were present in the courtroom.
The next testimony will be held on April 7.
