The elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB 7) in a drive arrested a union level Jubo Dal general secretary in possession with three firearms and 10 rounds of bullets in Chittagong district’s Sitakunda upazila early yesterday.
The arrestee Rokon Uddin alias Pistol Rokon, 33, son of Hazi Safiul Alam of Kazi para of Sitakunda, said RAB sources.
He is the general secretary of 10 no Salimpur union Jubo Dal of Sitakunda upazila and also an accused several cases filed in various police station, said RAB sources.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) also the Assistant Director (AD) of RAB 7 Amirulla said acting on tip off, a group of armed terrorists were gathering in Kazipara area under Salimpur union in Sitakunda upazila, a team of RAB 7 conducted drive in the area and nabbed Rokon red-handed.
