Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel have detained 14 members of an international cybercrime fraud gang on charge of fraudulence using social media platforms including Facebook.
Of the detainees, 12 are foreigners.
The elite force members also seized a good number of mobile phone handsets, laptops and foreign currencies.
RAB media wing director Commander Mufti Mahmud Khan said the 14 were held during drives in different areas of the capital on Thursday night
Details regarding the drive will be briefed at a press conference at RAB 1 headquarters in Uttara at 4pm Friday.
