A Chittagong court yesterday fixed February 1 for fresh remand hearing of Nur Mohammed, chairman of Khan Jahan Ali Group, in cocaine seizure case.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police Kazi Muttaki Ibn Minan said: “The court also asked investigation officer to present before the court during the next hearing.”
Earlier, Nur Mohammed was produced before the court with fresh three-day remand prayer on Saturday evening after completion his three-day remand. Then, the court fixed Monday for fresh remand hearing.
Nur Mohammed was arrested from Chittagong city on January 17 in connection with the case. At present, the case is being investigated by RAB 7’s Additional Superintendent of Police Mohiuddin Faruquee following a court direction.
On December 7, last year, a court in Chittagong ordered the RAB to lunch further investigation into the case rejecting charge sheet pressed by CMP’s Detective Branch.
