Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members have detained three people in possession with illegal VoIP equipment in Bhatara area of the capital.
The detainees are Foyzullah Riyad, 26, Moklesur Rahman, 36, and Saiful Islam, 25.
Major Rumman Mahmud, deputy director of the RAB legal and media wing, said the trio were held around 8pm Sunday.
The RAB officials also seized 1,879 SIM cards from the detainees.
The estimated price of the seized equipment is Tk30 lakh, the elite force official said in a press conference on Monday afternoon.
