Narcotics Control Department (NCD) officials have detained three drug peddlers in possession with 86,000 pieces of yaba tablets.
The detainees are Md Toiyob, Obaidul and Sonjoy Saha.
In a press briefing, NCD Deputy Director Md Mamun said Md Toiyob and Obaidul were detained along with 9,500 pieces of yaba tablet in a drive from Motijheel's Shapla Chattar area around 7am Thursday.
On the basis of information given by the duo, the NCD officials raided a house at Gazipur's Mouchak area in the afternoon and detained the house owner, Sonjoy Saha in possession with 76,500 pieces of yaba pills.
Processes of filling case against the detainees was underway when the story was filed.
