A woman's body, which dismembered into a total of seven parts by unidentified murderers, has been recovered from separate areas of Ashulia on Saturday.
Police said locals in the afternoon spotted five body parts of the woman in a polythene bag under Bypile bridge of the Nabinagar-Kaliakoir highway and informed them.
Sometime later, police recovered two more limbs of the woman from Ganakbari area of Ashulia DEPZ.
Earlier in the morning, in another incident, police found the body of an unknown youth in front of a dairy farm on the Dhaka-Aricha highway and they took the body to Ashulia police station.
However, police are yet to ascertain their identities.
When contacted, Ashulia police station Officer-in-Charge Mahsinul Kadir confirmed both incidents to the Dhaka Tribune and said: “Miscreants have dismembered the woman's body elsewhere and made the dumping in separate areas to disappear the body.”
Both bodies were sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Two cases were registered in these connections, the OC went on.
