Police have recovered the bodies of Sifat Bahini chief Sifat and his younger brother Arafat from Himchori Dhala area in Cox's Bazar.
Details of their identities could not be ascertained yet.
Cox's Bazar model police station OC Mohammad Aslam Hossain confirmed their identifies to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “On information from the locals, police went to the spot and recovered the bodies around 8:30am Wednesday.”
The OC said details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing later in the day.
Deceased's father Mohammad Alam claimed that a team identifying themselves as members of Rapid Action Battalion picked Sifat and his brother up from Pahartali area in the early hours of the day.
