CPB chief Selim receives death threat

Mujahidul Islam Selim, president of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), has been threatened with death in an e-mail message.

The threat was sent to him in the form of an e-mail message from uddinnizam456@yahoo.com.au early yesterday.

The sender identified himself as Nizam Uddin, ameer of a little-known group called Mission Jihad. 

Nizam also said in the e-mail that his mobile phone number is 01747233070, CPB said in a statement yesterday.

The party demanded that the sender of the e-mail be arrested and necessary measures be taken to ensure the CPB president’s security.
