One held with foreign currencies at Dhaka airport

Foreign currencies worth around Tk18 lakh were recovered from a passenger at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Monday morning. “Around 9am, Nowsher was detained from boarding bridge 16 of the airport. He was hiding the currencies inside his hand baggage,” CIID Director General Moinul Khan told the Dhaka Tribune. The recovered currencies include Saudi Arabian riyal, Euro, Qatar riyal, UAE dirham and Thai baht. During interrogation, Nowsher told the detectives that he has a cosmetic business in Chowkbazar in Dhaka and was travelling to Bangkok, Thailand.
