A 13-year-old schoolgirl has reportedly been gang raped at Faridpur village under Sreepur upazila in Gazipur.
Victim's brother filed a case against Shamsu Miah, 45, his brother-in-law Rahmat Ali and some of their accomplices accusing them for the rape on Sunday morning. All of the accused are dwellers of Faridpur village.
Police are yet to arrest the culprits who went into hiding soon after the heinous offence.
According to the case statement, the class VII schoolgirl lost her way while going to her elder brother's house in Seedstore area on October 28 and landed up in nearby Faridpur village.
At that time, the molesters allured her with help and confined her to a room where they raped her.
Later, locals rescued her in an unconscious condition and got admitted her to Sreepur Upazila Health Complex from where she was referred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital as her condition deteriorated.
Sreepur Sub-Inspector Hafizur Rahman said the victim was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for her medical check up and they were trying level best to arrest the alleged rapists.
