A Jubo League activist has been hacked to death in Chayani-Tagba area in Noakhali.
The deceased is Tarek Hossain Swapan, 25, son of Siddiq Ullah of Jamader Bari area.
Quoting the locals, Chatkhil OC Md Nasim Uddin said: “Tarek was sleeping in his room when Robin and five of his associates entered the room and hacked him indiscriminately around 11am Sunday, leaving him seriously injured.”
He said the inmates of the house took Tarek to the Chatkhil upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor declared him dead.
Later, police sent the body to Noakhali 250-bed Hospital for autopsy.
Tarek's father Siddiq Ullah filed a case with the police station accusing Robin and his five other of the murder.
