50 sued for Jubo League leader killing in Comilla

A murder case has been filed against 50 people following the killing of local Jubo League leader in a clash between villagers in Laksham, Comilla. 

Mosharraf Hossain, son of slain leader Anwar Hossain filed the case with Laksham police On Wednesday afternoon, OC of the police station Manowar Hossain Chowdhury said.

The OC said 30 people were named as accused in the case while 20 unnamed in the case.

After the case was filed, many male villagers of Tangirpar went into hiding in fear of arrest.

Additional police have been deployed to avoid any further untoward situation.

Ward Juba League president Anwar Hossain was killed and 50 were injured in the clash between the villagers of Salepur and Tangirpar on Monday that ensued as the Jubo League leader who is a villager of Salepur intercepted reckless driving of the motorcycle.

Following the killing, several houses in Tangirpar village were attacked and vandalized.
