At least 30 cattle traders fell prey to a dope party in Rajshahi city.
Six of the victims were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital while others were given primary treatment in local clinics.
Shah Makhdum OC Abdur Rouf confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
The cattle traders said they came to Rajshahi from Narsingdi on Sunday morning. They had breakfast at a local restaurant near city bypass cattle markets around 9:30am.
"After taking breakfast, thirty of the cattle traders become senseless,” said Atikur Rahman, the lessee of the city’s bypass cattle market.
The OC said they might have fell victim of dope party during their travel and become sick after taking breakfast.
The restaurant owner Zafar is being interrogated, he said.
