A twelve-year-old boy has been tortured to death at a garage in Tutpara crossing area of Khulna.
Miscreants pumped gas into the stomach of Rakibul Islam through the anal on Monday evening. He died while undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital on the same night.
Khulna Sadar police station Sub-Inspector Taposh Kanti said: “Rakibul used to work at Minto Motor Cycle Garage a year ago. He left the garage because of torture and started working at a new garage.”
He said: “The owner of his previous workplace, Minto, took Rakibul in the garage when he was roaming near it and pumped gas into his stomach through the anal with the help of others.”
The SI said Rakibul was taken to Saint Martin's Clinic and later shifted to Khulna Medical College Hospital where he died around 11:30pm.
Meanwhile, the locals beat up garage owner Minto, 35, worker Sharif, 18, and Sharif's mother Beauty Begum, 50, who were found in the garage after the incident.
Later, police went to the spot and detained the three. Two of them are being treated in the hospital while Beauty has been kept at sadar police station.
