Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested seven kidnappers along with abducted person from the capital’s Gulistan.
The victim is Mohaiminul Islam alias Anas, 19, son of Fakhrul Islam, of Shekherteck, Adabar of Dhaka.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) DB Joint Commissioner Md Monirul Islam made the disclosure in a press briefing on Saturday.
A team of DB police, in a raid, in Baishakhi Hotel in Gulistan held Md Shahadat Hossain, Md Sharif Hossain, Nidhan Chandra Das and Md Salim.
Later, they arrested hotel staff Md Abdul Quader.
According to Quader’s information, DB men arrested bKash agent Md Nasir Uddin and his employee Md Bappi.
They were involved in abduction incidents for a long time, said the DB official.
