A private university student has allegedly been killed by his cousin over selecting Eid clothes in Lohagara upazila there on Sunday.
The victim Mezbah Uddin, 24, son of Jamal Uddin, from Amirabad area of the upazila, said police sources. He was a final year student from law department of BGC Trust University, says Lohagara police station OC Md Shahjahan.
However, police later managed to arrest alleged killer Arman, 30. The OC went on that the duo’s uncle gave Panjabi and Lungi to them as gift on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and a scuffle ensued between Mezbah and Arman in the night over selecting the clothes.
At one stage, Arman made a strong kick targeting Mezbah’s penis leaving him critically injured. He was whisked off to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where physicians declared him dead, the OC continued.
