Mobile courts of Chittagong District Administration, Rapid Action Battalion, Bangladesh Standard and Testing Institute and Directorate of Environment yesterday fined 12 business establishments with Tk365,000 and sealed off two factories for violating the existence rules and laws.
Executive Magistrates of Chittagong District Administration Md Anisul Islam, Asraful Alam, Tahmilur Rahman and Habibul Hasan led the mobile courts in city’s Asadganj, Rahmatganj and Riajuddin Bazar areas.
Magistrate Anisul Islam said the mobile court sealed off Modern Poly Factory and Talha Enterprise in Asadganj area in the city while the court also fined eight different business establishments with Tk255,000 for manufacturing adulterated foods and illegally setting up tannery violating rules and regulations.
The court fined—JS Traders with Tk50,000, Alif Trading with Tk50,000 Talha enterprise with Tk30,000 and Royal enterprise with Tk 40,000.
The court also fined four plastic manufacturing companies with Tk85,000 for manufacturing plastic products illegally.
