A mobile court of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) has fined 13 butchers with Tk60,000 for selling beef and mutton without authorized seal on the product and slaughtering the animals in elsewhere.
CCC executive magistrate Nazia Shirin led the drive at different meat shops in Chittagong city’s Panchlasih residential area on Saturday, said the CCC sources.
Nazia said: “The mobile court fined the butchers with Tk60, 000 as they had sold the beef and mutton without seal of CCC on their product as well as slaughtered the animal in open place.”
