The wife of a Supreme Court lawyer has been found dead at her flat in capital's Nikunja area.
The deceased is Lima Akhter Mukul, 39, wife of SC lawyer Rafiqul Islam.
Quoting Lima's husband, the police said Rafiq went outside around 11:30am Tuesday and asked a local boy, who often brings different things for the couple, to keep his eyes on the house until he returns.
Later, he returned home around 5:30pm and found his wife dead.
Deceased's husband claimed that his wife might have been killed over previous enmity, said DMP Cantonment Zone Assistant Commissioner Kudrat-e-Khuda.
Police said Rafiq's first wife is now staying in USA. He married Lima in January this year.
Khilkhet police station SI Golam Mostafa said the murder took place between 11:30am and 6pm.
Police were collecting evidence from the spot when the report was filed around 9pm.
Police said they are suspecting that the victim was attacked with knife.
Injury marks has been found on her head while a broken dagger was found near her body.
