An indigenous girl yesterday filed a case against five unidentified men, who she claimed had forced her into a microbus and gang-raped her on Thursday night.
The girl, who lives in the capital’s Uttara with her elder sister and has a sales job at a store at Jamuna Future Park, was waiting at Kuril bus stop to board a bus to return home when a microbus stopped in front of her around 9:25pm.
“Two youths came out of the microbus, forced her into the vehicle and a total of five men, including the driver, raped her before dropping her at Jasimuddin bus stop,” the victim’s elder sister said.
The case was lodged with Bhatara police station and Sazzad Hossain, inspector of the station, said the probe would take some time.
“The criminals are completely unknown and police have no clues. This makes the task of nabbing them difficult.
“We will send the victim to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for medical examination tomorrow (today),” he added.
