A youth has been sentenced to six months in jail for harassing a girl at Nalitabari of Sherpur.
A mobile court handed down the penalty to Indra Mohan Koach on Monday afternoon.
Locals said Indra Mohan had been harassing the girl by making calls to her mobile phone from several numbers.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Sayeed Molla said police detained Indra Mohan upon getting a complaint against him.
"He was sentenced to six months in jail on the basis of the evidence against him," said the UNO.
