Girl’s body found with tied hands

Police have recovered body of a madrasa going girl from a charr area of Deoyanganj upazila of Jamalpur.

The body of Rabiya Khatun Anita, 16, was found dead with hands tied behind her back from Madarer Charr area of Deoyanganj upazila under the district on Saturday evening.

Anita, daughter of Abdul Latif of Bakshiganj upazila was a Dakhil student at Madarer Charr Dakhil Madrasa under Bahadurabad upazila.

She went missing around 9pm on Friday night, family sources informed.

Officer-in-Charge M Aslam Hossain of of Deoyanganj police station confirmed the body recovery to the Dhaka tribune.

On information, police rushed to the Madarer Charr area near the Bramhaputra River and recovered the body. The body was sent to for an autopsy, the police official said.
