Robbers looted about Tk10 lakh from four offices in the Baitul View Market at the capital’s Paltan area on Thursday night.
The organisations robbed are Best Fly International on the sixth floor, Priyo Prangan Properties on ninth floor, Benco Finance and Securities on tenth floor, and an insurance company on the thirteenth floor of of the market building.
Sabbir Uddin Ahmed, a partner at Best Fly International, said on Thursday afternoon they closed the office and went home. Later, his manager Abdul Awal called him around 10pm that night to inform him of the robbery.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Morshed of Paltan Police Station said the incident took place between 7pm to 10pm on Thursday night. Later a security guard noticed that the doors of the offices were broken.
The police have inspected the crime scene area and collected evidence, the OC said. However, no one was arrested in this connection yet.
