Customs Intelligence officials have detained a person with foreign currencies worth Tk75 lakh at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Reyadul Islam, assistant commissioner of Customs Intelligence, told the Dhaka Tribune that the man was arrested around 8pm Monday.
The seized currencies include Singapore Dollars and Saudi Riyals.
The official said the person was scheduled to fly to Singapore.
He, however, refused to disclose the name of the detained person for the sake of the investigation.
