The Supreme Court has ordered Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to reinstate the spectrum allocation for mobile phone operator Citycell within 24 hours.
A three-member bench of the Appellate Division led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha gave the order on Tuesday.
The bench also ordered to reinstate the licence for Citycell, reports the Bangla Tribune.

BTRC on Monday decided to revoke the licence of Citycell, Bangladesh's first mobile phone service provider.
On October 20, 2016, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) shut down the Citycell’s operation as the company failed to pay outstanding government dues of Tk477 crore.
Later, the operator got permission to relaunch its operation through a court order.
