Charge sheet placed against Tarique, 3 others in sedition case

Inspector Imdadul Haque of Detective Branch of Police submitted the charge sheet to Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court on Tuesday. The court fixed September 29 for hearing, said Deputy Police Commissioner (criminal intelligence and prosecution) Md Anisur Rahman. On January 8, Sub-inspector Barhan Uddin of Tejgaon police filed the case on charge of threatening the country’s sovereignty by saying and broadcasting instigating words in the television channel, showing the BNP senior vice-chairman as the prime accused.
