SC tightens nighttime entry rules for security

The Bangladesh Supreme Court has tightened entry restrictions at its compound from 11:00pm to 6:00am for security reasons. Anyone entering the premises during these hours must carry valid identification.

The Supreme Court administration issued a notice on Wednesday announcing the measures.

The notice said enhanced security is necessary to protect the country’s highest court and other key judicial facilities.

Under the new rules, anyone entering the Supreme Court compound between 11:00pm and 6:00am must carry an NID card, passport or official ID and produce it when asked by security personnel.

The administration also urged everyone concerned to cooperate with the authorities to ensure security at the Supreme Court.
